Growing up as an avid music fan in upstate New York in the city of Rochester, "C" always dreamed of making his mark in the music world one day. Influenced by his mother’s love of classic soul and R&B, his older siblings’ love of rap, hip-hop and pop, and his Jamaican father’s straight from the homeland passion for reggae, “C” always had an exemplary musical palate and appreciation for music. Little did he know that his love for and the fusion of these genres of music would later impact his future and shape his unique beat-making sound. After earning his B.A. in Music Business and a bold move to New York City, he started making his mark in music by winning iStandard's producer showcase, The Largest beat battle in New York, along with creating music for MTV. Soon after those successes, his music began to appear on music projects from established artists such as 50 Cent, Sheek from The Lox, and various other artists during his time working under P. Diddy and Jay-Z production collaborators, Sean C & LV. He also dabbled in advertising and contributed music for ads for Fortune 500 companies like Nike and Under Armour. It was only a matter of time before "C" became enamored with mixing for live audiences and began teaching himself how to DJ.
In an ever evolving industry, many producers such as “C” have jumped behind the decks, not only as a means to stay fresh, current and relevant, but also to make the transition from being the creative force behind the scenes, to the front and center talent that gets to interact with their audience. Currently a Brooklyn resident, "C" has been rocking parties, galleries and making a name for himself as not only a producer, but a DJ as well. He is clearly a student of music with a great ear, who has been spinning his fusion of classic soul, pop, rap, hip-hop reggae sound throughout the city.
